PULSE is on a critical mission to improve the chances of survival for trauma casualties through an innovative blood transfusion project.
Bleeding is a leading cause of preventable fatalities, and modern scientific researches show that early blood transfusion can significantly improve the survival rates of trauma patients in hemorrhagic shock. Unfortunately, access to blood transfusion is limited in remote areas of Ukraine due to a lack of equipment and training.
However, with recent changes in Ukrainian legislation allowing a broader range of medical personnel to perform transfusions, PULSE is focusing on acquiring the necessary equipment and training these personnel.
The goal of the project is to raise money for:
Blood transfusion training for medical personnel
Equipment for blood storage and re-heating +consumable materials
As part of the EBRD community initiative, all donations (up to EUR 25,000) within this fundraiser may be doubled 1:1 (in case all conditions of the program will be met).
