The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the PULSE charity fund have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, thereby formalizing their joint work in developing capabilities for providing pre-medical and medical assistance and training and improving the qualifications of military personnel in tactical medicine and other disciplines.
The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Natalia Kalmykova, and the director of the PULSE fund, Hanna Mazurkevich signed the document.
"We are building our work based on the principle of maximum interaction with the civil sector and bringing it to a systemic level. The defense forces currently need highly qualified specialists in tactical medicine. The results of their work saved lives and the health of military personnel. I am very grateful to our partners for their cooperation," - emphasized Natalia Kalmykova.
"Our cooperation with the Ministry of Defense is important; it allows us to coordinate the work of our current projects and programs promptly, such as training personnel of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, developing blood transfusion, and preparing veterans for positions as medical instructors. Given the large number and complex structure of the DFU, the Ministry of Defense is our critically important partner and guide. For our part, we will do everything possible to assist the ministry in its tasks, including policy-making. The contacts and experience we have developed by assisting NATO are now also contacts and experiences of the Ministry of Defense," - stated Hanna Mazurkevich, director of the PULSE charity fund.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, about 25,000 military personnel have gone through PULSE training. Such cooperation with the Ministry of Defense will help increase the number of Defense Forces representatives with everything necessary - from skills to equipment - to save lives.
